On March 6th, Excursions Ireland’s very own MD, Niamh was a speaker at a Mentorship Webinar hosted by Lemoneight. Entitled Empowering Women in the Martime Sector this webinar was a great opportunity for women in this industry to provide insights and advice while inspiring new generations of women to succeed in this historically male dominated sector. With its perfect timing in the lead up to International Women’s day, if any female could empower within the maritime sector it’s Niamh.
Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami is the World’s Leading Cruise Event and once again, Niamh was instrumental in flying the flag for women in the industry during this important week in the cruise calendar. Niamh was asked to join a panel of influential women in order to share insights on leadership, innovation, and growth in one of the world’s most dynamic travel sectors. After three decades of attending Seatrade, it was a huge honour for Niamh to sit on this innovative panel—Women Leading Businesses in the Cruise Sector. Niamh was also joined by her long time, long distance colleague and friend Debbie Summers. Debbie is Managing Director at IDNZ and another inspirational woman leading the way for all women in the cruise industry.
During Seatrade 2026 Debbie was also made chairperson of TWLGO (The World’s Leading Ground Operators). TWLGO was established by a network of industry friends whose companies maintain high-quality standards—and Excursions Ireland are honoured to be one of those founding members.
