EI On Tour

A SNEAK PEAK

The off season at Excursions Ireland is never the down season. It is a time to explore, educate, escape, enthuse and envelop all things cruise, all things Ireland and all things tourism.

From MD to Ops the company personnel get themselves out of the office to promote Ireland, learn about new product and services and market the EI brand as far and wide as possible.

In early February MD, Niamh and Director of Operations, Kerrie joined 100 other members of Cruise Europe for “Cruise Europe at Sea”. Hosted on the MSC Splendida this 4-day immersive programme was the first-of-its-kind and proved a great success. Later in February, Kerrie and Lynn took a short trip to Donegal to take advantage of the blue skies and beautiful scenery while Dublin was almost submerged in what seemed like months of relentless torrential rain. Lynn’s travels continued to Armagh where she was joined by Caoimhe for a fam trip hosted by Visit Armagh. The last week in February was packed full of networking and exploration as Ben & Lauren represented at the ITOA Workshop in Limerick, Niamh, Kerrie & Lynn popped down to Bantry and the ITOA workshop in Dublin was attended by Ger & Joe.

In early March, Lynn & Caoimhe jetted over to Berlin where they represented Excursions Ireland at ITB for the 2nd year in a row.  Spring 2026 also saw lots of new guide training with events held in Foynes, Cobh, Dublin & Derry.

A host of site inspections and fam trips throughout March saw Caoimhe explore Athy and the new Shackleton Experience, Ger enjoy a dream day for any horse-racing enthusiast at Kildangan Stud and Lisa visit the beautiful Causeway Coast and Glens. At the end of March, Lisa also joined Abbie for Meet the Buyer — Tourism NI’s flagship event – and after 2 days of networking they went their separate ways, participating in two different fam trips exploring the gems of Northern Ireland.

Niamh’s travels took her a little further afield, visiting Miami in March and April. In March Niamh was invited to join the Norwegian Luna for her inaugural sailing from Miami and in April Miami sunshine called again as Niamh and Kerrie attended the annual Seatrade Cruise Global conference. As always, the highlight of the conference was the Irish event on the Cruise Ireland stand. This year’s Cruise Ireland Céilí was sponsored by McConnells Whiskey with entertainment from the Men of Aran and a few willing contributors from the Cruise Ireland contingency itself.
